- How to Get to Salto: Fly into Montevideo (MVD) and take the domestic flight to Salto (many of our trips INCLUDE this flight in the trip fare.
- Fishing Gear: Shimano rods/reels and hand made or special lures that will have you catching dorados. If you are a fly-fisherman, please bring your favorite fly rod and equipment. Fly fishing equipment is not included as part of the standard fishing gear with the dorado fishing trip.
- La Zona - What is this? - La Zona is a specialized area for catching some of the trophy sized dorado fish. It takes a special license that Los Gauchos is proud to offer - the rate is more expensive for the exclusive La Zona area, but the fishing is out of this world.

We will talk about the best week for you to come and you then just send in $500 for the deposit. The final payment is paid before you depart so that no "surprise" or extra fees are required once you arrive in Uruguay. The only requirement is the preparation for a great fishing trip and a good fight with the active golden dorado fish.
