Salto is the city in Uruguay that provides the best dorado fishing. The guide is a long time resident and fishing expert who knows the river, the fish, and will assist and teach you to catch the trophy Dorado that you will need a camera to capture and prove to your fellow fishing friends at home.
Fishing accommodations are at several hotels in the city of Salto that work with Los Gauchos and the fishing guides. The hotel rate can be included in your hunting package OR if you prefer, you can pay for the accommodations on your own and we will assist and provide all the pictures and information about the various hotels and accommodations in Salto.
Dorado fishing is available year round and don't forget the seasons and temperatures are opposite those in North America. May through August can be cold on the water so bring some warm waterproof clothes. December through February is summertime so bring on the Florida beach wear and have some fun spending summer in Salto.
